About ECN - CCN
Engineering Change Note is a central logistics function that can be. used to change various aspects of production basic data (for example, BOMs, task lists, materials, and documents) with history (with date.
When a user adds an item to a BOM, the old BOM is retained and the user is prompted for the “reason for change”. The “reason for change, and the user id should be preserved along with the date of the change”. The new BOM takes the place of the old one. The BOM should have a simple number 1,2,3… to identify the current BOM change levels. When a Production order is generated this number should be visible on the document.
Once the Production Order and changes are generated you will be able to produce a report which can tell me of the history of the changes, who did what and when.

An Engineering Change Note (ECN) is a document that authorizes and records design modifications made to a product during its prototype and lifecycle stages.
After the basic design is complete, ECN documentation offers the reasoning for changes made to a component or system.
Customer Change Note (CCN) keeps the track of changes that are done by customer end so that appropriate actions are taken accordingly
Change Management process as on date is on Emails and then fetching out those emails to figure out change logs/audit logs etc
